Fostering Historical Empathy: Empowering Students in Online Teaching

Abstract

Learning history goes beyond rote memorization of facts; it is an engaging exploration of the past, cultivating critical thinking and fostering engaged citizenship. I employ an effective approach of fostering historical empathy through role-playing and simulation in my online classes. I introduce history to students as a discipline, encouraging them to immerse themselves in the lives of historical figures and events.
