Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to determine a relationship between the personality traits of extraversion/ neuroticism, as measured by the Eysenck Personality Inventory (Eysenck & Eysenck, 1968), and certain variables of criminality which are common to the incarcerated adult male felons confined in the Texas Department of Corrections. The ultimate objective was to achieve a better understanding of some of the effects which certain personality characteristics have upon criminal behavior which would aid in the classification and treatment of offenders in the future.
