William Bligh and 18 loyalists in the HMAV Bounty’s launch in view of an erupting volcano on Tofua in the South Pacific Ocean. Miraculously, Bligh survived this epic open-boat journey to Coupang, Timor, and ultimately to England to resume his naval career.en_US
